October Updates!

Last week was alittle of a hurry scurry.
Boss was on compassionate leave and hence leaving me with a ton of last minute things to do.

But God has been good, although i am pregnant with the little one i was able to complete what was required. It was especially trying on Thurs and Friday last week where i only managed 1-2 hrs of sleep at night. Imagine trying to function at optimal with a body deprived of sleep and with a brian that is mentally drained... i absolutely dread days like this.

On a happier note, i am on leave today! Hubby was absolutely sweet to take me out for lunch as well as helping me hang the laundry.

Although i was feeling tired and i admit lazy, I completed a 45minute walk around the park where i now stay. The weather is superb with a nice breeze to accompany me on my little walk with the little unborn child. I feel refreshed and energised already! Ready for tomorrow!

Thank you Lord for the leave today as well as the much needed rest the past 2 nights.

September Updates!

It's been a very busy month with alot of projects UAT and meetings.

Thankful for a boss who is willing to delegate certain projects out of my portfolio although i know she rather very much prefer me to take charge cause i can get whacked for it (apparently the more responsible one gets whacked). Need to take things slow for now.

Many times when things go wrong or when doors closes the reaction is normally a why, upset, negative reaction instead of thankfulness. Life is really unpredicatble. God could have closed the door cause the opportunity is not for me or... there are better opportunities ahead. It's hard to look at life with such positiveness but when the whole picture is pieced together it's a OOooHHHHh WoWwwww effect.

It' like when things go wrong, Satan tells us that it's our fault or God doesn't hear us or He doesn't love us enough. But on the contrary sometimes He has something better in stored for us. Believing in the real truth and not the half truth.

"Lord let me rest in your presence trusting in the truth that you truly love us and will never let us go"

Hello! Again =)

It's been so long that i updated this but hey better late than never.

I have only fractured my arm once so.. here's one to add on to that list; a sprained ankle.

Was walking a small flight of stairs (wasn't even hurrying) when i missed a step and i heard a crack from the ankle and there you have it something sprained. The result? 3 days mc and alot of difficulty moving around. Never imagined going to the toilet to be such a daunting experinece.

A million thoughts to bring us through up to speed since i got married.

I had a wonderful honeymoon in HK even though i was coughing away. God really blessed our time there and thanks to Hubby his cantonese helped alot! Moving around was a breeze and my most enjoyable stop? Disneyland! =D

Work has been business as usual. No change... kinda boring... but God has been absolutely gracious throughout. It's easy to claim that just cause i have been doing this job for 5 years now... that i'm on top of things.. but nope. There are PLENTY of gaps to close... different problems everyday... some are the same nagging irritating problems. But God has been faithful, my saviour.

Father.. i pray for a new season. 5 years is way to long.

Thoughts on the Word... well aplenty.

1)  This week the JY was taught on experiencing God through the word.
I like the fact that he touched on the Pharisee being all about the word and not making relevant.
Law by law... all about the commandments what to do and what not to do. I was thinking hey.. were they to blame? Isn't it like the culture of society that shaped them to maintain the standard that they did. Hence forth a real need for a saviour to bring those things to life, making it relevant for all.

Isn't it much like our educational system? The amount of emphasis that is placed in results and a particular path to ... 'success'. We would be like pharisee if we chase just that head knowledge and fail to make it practical and relevant in our world. Let's not study for the sake of studying.. rather let's study and read to equip ourselves with skills and relevance i our contribution to society.

2) Learn alot from Pastor Eric... on Samson and cultural vigilance...erc. never thought that Samson could be looked at such perspective

3) The kiddos are having their prelims! Prayed for both spiritual and metal ability. Hope they'll excel for God and themselves. Somehow this is an important platform that either boost the confidence or absolutely deflate it. Either way i think that they are BRILLIANT in so many aspects. That's the next generation that i am look at.

Alrighty.. that's all from me for now =)

It's Coming!!

I only got 10 minutes and i gotta run..

So it's 6 more weeks and wedding bells will be ringing.
Life has been crazy because there are so many life changing decisions to make.

It's easy to get lost in all that busyness and I feel that you need to be strong and clear what makes you happy. What is that single most important thing that you believe in that will keep you going.

Sometimes I get unsettled and fearful even. At times like this, I frown a lot and question what is the meaning of life. Then I remember about God and try to keep my eyes just focused on Him and Him alone. It doesn't make all my worries or problems go away, but at least I know in my heart that He is there with me each step of the way.

I've been so blessed with this greatest gift of salvation. It's time to share this happiness and joy with all those around. Let's not let negative thoughts or negative people get in our way of sharing this pure joy with others around.

Hebrews 13:5

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”[a]

KEEP ON SMILING!!!! =)

Productive Morning

Quick Update
I've been productive this Saturday morning. Praise the Lord!
Washing up
Having breakfast with my sis
Doing a quick devotion before cell
Vacuum the house
Emailing Wedding Coordinator
Smsing Bridal Studio Number to Gary
Sourcing for Wedding Invitation Cards

I was playing the piano sometime this week.
I don't really play classical piano pieces anymore, but more like experimenting with the different chords combo.

It then dawned on me that there were many similarities with life.
How its important to be faithful in the little things. It you play simple chords well, you'v got a beautiful tune.
And just like music, life doesn't always have to be Loud (there is a time to be quiet).

People that i've been praying for
LR - Deliverance
Ms G - Health, Healing

My Colleague is really poor thing, she is a Christian but however gullible and hence susceptible to getting cheated. She has been diagnosed with heart disease, one of the valve leading to her heart has been blocked and she has to undergo surgery.

She has gone for ballooning once (opening of the valve) and now she has to go for bypass. However she doesn't want to go for the op for fear of death and is relying on only God and God alone to save her. The doctor has given her 4 months to live if she doesn't go for the op.
She has gone to alternative medicine to seek treatment.

I think she got so desperate that she got cheated.
Not sure how she met this European Con Man in Geylang.
But this guy charged her $200 for a scan of her finger and claimed it can detect her illness...etc.
After the scan, he told her "peace be with you" something to the effect that saying be prepared to... ahem say goodbye to the world.

What we have here is a woman and a fighting chance to live, not just for herself but for her two young daughters. Though I must admit that I do not enjoy working with her, but I still wish for her to return soon. She is confused and fearful at the same time. I only hope God will pls wake her up soon. May her family be able to be with her and be strong despite the challenges ahead.

Oh and did I mention? I AM GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR! It's on 26th Dec 2011.

Are you saved?

Are you saved?

That was the question that was being discussed in confirmation class today. How would you respond to that?

A whirl of thoughts filled my mind in how to explain it logically.

It's unquestionable and i positively knew inside of me that i am saved.

If you are drowned and a lifeguard rescued you, would you not know who saved you?
Had a friend pulled you away from incoming vehicle, would you not know you are saved?

In this instance "being saved" refers to our eternal life in heaven.

There were many experiences in my life where God came to my rescue.

Yup, and more than that His living word proclaims truth to say that He has sent His son to die for us as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. And by accepting and believing through faith that He is our saviour, we therefore have eternal life. What an amazing gift, what amazing love.
