The most important stop in the race is the pit stop

The formula one race was filled with nothing but twists, turns and tons of surprises.

Many thought that Masa would be the sure winner from the race based on the qualifying rounds. Yet, he was beaten and came in as one of the last few. Some called it a fluke, some say it was sheer luck. Whatever it was, it was the pit stop that shocked many. Something happened to the fuel, maybe it was a mechanical error, but the green light was on before the re-fueller was released.

You see, even car racers sees the importance of a pit stop. To change tyres, refuel, rectify mechanical errors...etc. What more we humans?!

At least that was the message that i tried to bring to my group of Sec4s who are squeezing they're brain juices for the vigorous dreadful O level exams. As they mug and worry for the papers, i as a CGL has a greater duty to pray for them. As Matthew 18:19-20 says that we should pray in unison that He might hear.

I should be fervent as i really do desire for all of them to do well. In my eyes, they are way above average. For some, genius; It's a gift i so strongly believe that God has given.

Blessed is he who trust in the name of the Lord. Hope that they will not worry too much for the unseen. After all, this is only but one of the many phases in life that we all have to face. Perhaps it is Singapore culture that the emphasis on grades and achievements far exceed the importance of other heart to heart matters in life.

There is much more to life than just earthly gains...

Happy moments that all lasted but a little while

Yesterday i met up with my dear uni mates.
Present for the Mooncake Fez: Calvin and Christina his gf, Philip, Shikai, Eugene, Ting Ting, Eunice, PeiJun, Carol and... urs truly.

Menu for Mooncake Festival included:

- Pizza (1 Japanese Pizza, 1 Pepperoni Pizza and chicken wings)

- KFC

- Sushi from Sakae

- Nuggets

- Mooncakes

- Green tea

- Champagne

It was a great reunion i must say. Glad that Calvin hasn't changed much. Very much still passionate about his pilot and sticking to his point of view.

After the meal, we all played wii and did some personality tests. Haha... don't think its exactly reflective of one's true colours but nonethelest very amusing.

Thanks Ting Ting for the riddles. It was really pretty amusing. And... Eugene for ur Happy Jokes. LoL. I think the funny part was he told the joke and laughed at it by himself.

We all reaslied that Shikai had a hidden gift... CHINESE!!! All the idioms nv heard of.... and he KNEW IT!!!

But we left pretty late, My bf was very upset and pissed at me cause i left late and didn't keep my promise of no alcohol. So i had a sip or two. I shouldn't have at all.

I took a cab home. And... he chided me the whole night. It really sucks to be reprimanded. This whole week has been a week of insult and reprimand for me. Whether is boss, bf or family. I can't take it anymore. Feel like dropping everything and walk away from it all. But responsibility holds me firmly to the ground.

Keep cool i keep telling myself. The Lord your God... and before i can continue to the next word, i find myself slipping into self contempt. The non-stop bashing continued throughout the night till 3am. I'm still hurt now. so much for a wonderful weekend. It hurts so so badly. I never dreamt that a happy night could go so miserably wrong after that.

We'll get there...

Like the song "We Will get There", it might be a little beginning but we will eventually get there.

http://www.singsingapore.org.sg/songs-lyric.asp?sid=6 <-- for the lyrics and the music.

Been feeling alittle down the past few days. Many reasons, work related, home related... ...

Everyone else seems blissed to have a loved one beside. Wedding bells ringing, beautiful line of clothes.

I'm just feeling melanchony I'll be fine. By grace.
